Make your own Nativity Mobile - Free Templates to Colour

Here's a simple Christmas craft that celebrates the real reason for the season! This Nativity Mobile is quick & easy for children to make with free printable characters to colour. Such a beautiful decoration to display at home.

I love the simplicity of this craft, & the opportunities if offers children to explore the Christmas Story.

What you'll need

:: A stick/driftwood
:: Cotton thread
:: String/ribbon
:: Glue stick, scissors & colouring pens
:: Printable templates (one A4 sheet)

On the printable you'll find 2 of each character so that you can stick them back to back, then as the mobile spins you'll see the character from all angles. Download the printable here - Nativity Mobile

How to make it

:: Colour & cut out the characters & star.

:: Stick a length of thread to the back of the characters & glue the matching characters so you have  double sided figures. If you wish, you could of course just use one side of the templates.

:: Tie the threads to the wooden stick to make your mobile. Shorter threads work best as they're less likely to get caught around each other. To prevent your mobile getting tangled leave a little distance between each character.

:: Attach the star to the centre of the stick frame.

:: Finish by adding a length of string/ribbon to the stick to hang your mobile.

This Nativity Mobile not only looks great hanging on a wall, or a shelf, but makes a great decoration to display by a window too.
