This year we're taking Lent outdoors with 40 super simple activities for all ages to explore. All the activities are nature-based with most of them needing no preparation or extra resources. You'll find things to do in all weathers, activities to enjoy during different times of the day, & you can pick & choose which activities you wish to explore.
I've designed these activities with younger children in mind, but they're easily adaptable for older children with a range of fun things to discover during Lent.
Following on from our popular Advent Gratitude Cards which we shared in December, these printable Lent cards follow a similar format. The cards are an ideal size for young children to hold & allow them to take ownership of the activity.
Amongst the activities you'll find a few focusing specifically on key days during Lent, such as Maundy Thursday & Good Friday, but the majority of activities can be explored anytime over the 40 days, so you can choose which ones are best for your family.
You can get your FREE 40 Activities here.
Simply print on either recycled paper or cardstock & cut out the cards. Along with the activities you'll also find Easter Egg templates which can be used for one of the activities.
You could use the Lent cards to create a game by hiding them every day for children to find, or keep the cards in a jar for them to pick one out, the choice is yours.
However you explore them, I hope you & your family enjoy discovering our amazing planet & the wonder of creation as you journey through Lent towards Easter.
