Outdoor Nativity Trail for Kids (Ideal for Churches or Schools)

Looking for an interactive Christmas Trail that children & families can explore around your outdoor area? Then this is for you! Follow 'Dotty the Donkey' as she retells the Nativity Story in this fun engaging Christmas Trail for children.

An outdoor trail is a perfect way to explore the Nativity & share the Christmas Story your community. Made up of 12 bold & colourful stations, this trail takes you on a journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem & features key figures from the Nativity for children to meet along the way.

It's designed to engage with children who know the Christmas Story well, & also those who are maybe discovering it for the first time. The text throughout the Trail is short & simple so it's quick & easy to read, & the stations are numbered so they're easy to sequence.

Each station also features a fun activity for children to discover as they interact with the story. These are simple activities that require no extra resources, so all ages & stages can easily join in. They include:

:: Nature-based activities
:: Simple challenges
:: Physical activities
:: Creative prompts

Also running through the Trail is a mystery word challenge for children to solve. Together the letters on the stations spell out 'God Is With Us' & the answer to the challenge can be found on the last station of the Trail.

If you regularly have trails around your outdoor space, something to consider is how you display them. We've found frames are a great alternative to plastic laminating pouches, & they can be reused again & again.

It's been wonderful to see how many churches & schools have used my previous Trails, & I'd love to see how you use this 'Dotty the Donkey' Nativity Trail in your area. Please do share any photos over on our Facebook or Instagram, it's so nice to see where the Trails go.

Just a friendly reminder before you print off the trail, please do not alter the text, remove the Sun Hats & Wellie Boots watermark, or amend the work in any other way. Thank you. You can download the trail here: Nativity Trail

Wherever you use this Nativity Trail, I hope children have fun exploring the wonder of the Christmas Story. ♥
