Standing Paper Advent Candles - Free Printable to Colour with 3 Ways to Display

Celebrate the Sundays in Advent with this set of Advent candles to make & colour. Free printable polyptych includes easy instructions for children to follow. A simple craft for children to explore each Sunday's theme as we journey towards Christmas.

This is an ideal craft to share at church, school, or home with children or adults. The printable can be coloured in one sitting, or candles can be decorated on each Sunday during Advent.

Once coloured & cut out the candles can be displayed in a number of ways. Folding along the central lines the candles can be folded into semicircle design. You could add a LED tealight to the front to illuminate the candles, or to represent Jesus.

Alternatively, you could also use the printable to make a 4 sided candle by folding the central lines into a square shape & securing with tape. Each Sunday the candle can be rotated to display that Sunday's theme. If you wish to make your candle glow, simply add a battery candle to the base.

To make the candles stand out you could also display them in concertina pattern, folding the candles in alternating directions to create a zig zag design.

Whether you display your polyptych as a centrepiece on your kitchen table, on a windowsill to be illuminated by sunlight, or stand it alongside Christmas cards on a shelf, the candles a great reminder of each theme running through the Sundays in Advent.
